So when it was announced not even a month ago, Lindsay Lohan was being brought on board as an “artistic advisor” at Emanuel Ungaro, no one was really sure what would unfold. After having only three weeks to hastily scrape together a collection to debut at Paris Fashion Week, new designer Estrella Archs and Lohan were greeted with a paparazzi frenzy at the Louvre, where their (supposed) joint-effort would debut.
So what was the final verdict? Well, what followed has been an almost unanimous slating, with critics… er, not really liking (to put it mildly) the mini dresses, heart pasties and ruched leggings which strutted down the catwalk.
The Telegraph‘s Hilary Alexander wished them luck for their next outing, but only after saying: “There were some truly hideous fashion faux pas. Silver sequinned “pasties”, for example, belong in a lap dancing club unless you subscribe to a Jordan-esque dress code.” Style.com’s review wasn’t much better, stating: “This quickly devolved into a bad joke of a fashion show, one with questionable color combinations, “bad eighties” draped silk jackets and drop-crotch pants, old-fashioned and ill-judged fur stoles, and, yes, tasteless sequin pasties.“
Have they hit the nail on the head or do you think the critics are being a little bit too harsh? Watch the video and judge for yourself!
Lindsay is a total mess, unprofessional LA girl who should just stay home and out of fashion. Ungaro should just write of the next season and go in hibernation.
