Label made in LA: Supertrash

The tag line is “born in L.A.” and don’t we know it, this dynamic L.A. based brand is the go-go label of the moment. Founded by the Hollywood it-girl and socialite Ava Rily, it has been an instant success in America, and Supertrash is now creeping into our wardrobes. Uber-cool LA label recently snagged the British girl of the moment Pixie Lott to be the face of the brand. Supertrash unifies Californian sophistication with a touch of outlandish character.
We completely love the colourful, graphic but yet dainty summer dresses with a glamorous L.A. look, as well as neutral toned knitted cardigans. What else can we say…bring on the trash!

These boots are made for walking!

This week we decided to relay a few footwear trends of the season… Clogs were under scrutiny yesterday and the same question seemed to pop up in our minds: would we really wear them? Well, another question seem to emerge: Ankle boots in a summery version? We know, it’s already a whole concept! But we loved them so much last winter, that we might adopt them as our best urban companion this spring to stride along the streets. Here is our little selection.

Would you wear clogs?

Some fashion come-back can be quite curious… Courtesy of Chanel and Louis Vuitton, yes, clogs are back! For Spring / Summer 2010 Chanel models were sent down the catwalk wearing strange looking shoes, well actually a pair of clogs. Alexa Chung stepped into Chanel clogs on the March Vogue UK cover. Fashionista Rachel Bilson found her way to create a downtown cool look. Even if we might not all agree on this, it looks like clogs are going to be the go-go of this footwear’s season. For those tempted, here is our selection.

Kurt Geiger, Jola clogs, £150
Topshop, Ollie clogs, £40

- Team Rock & Roll: Kate Moss paired her white Blazer with trendy leather leggings and a grey tee-shirt.

- Team Ladylike: SJP mixes up hers with a pale pink dress by Stella McCartney and a chunky necklace for a feminine edge.

- Team Girly chic: Whitney Port legs it out by pairing her white and black collar blazer with a pair of silky shorts and a striped tank top.
