Topshop have always been at the forefront of cutting edge fashion, collaborating with raw talent of the design world including the brilliant Christopher Kane and of course Kate Moss. The latest in line to design for the successful brand is up-and-coming designer Mark Fast. Causing controversy and speculation in the industry, Mark Fast is best known for breaking convention by casting plus-size models for his shows last year. Strutting their stuff in his contemporary shredded knitwear dresses, he skewed everyone’s view of beauty. Fast has designed five pieces for Topshop, four of his famous dresses and one innovative skirt. Prices will be considerably lower than his usual high-end pieces and will allow us, (mere mortals), to get our hands on some avant-garde beauties of our own.

We love it when one accessory combines two trends, (makes life a tad easier we think!), which is why we’ve fallen for these new boots from Topshop. Not only are they ankle boots, a massive story for spring /summer, they also have a great brogue style with gorgeous crochet detail. Updating the brogue into a boot is genius and the touches of lace are perfect for spring’s romantic look. Easy to throw on with shorts and a tee for a quirky casual look, or wear with cropped trousers to wow the office. Either way we need a pair in our lives!

The first few pieces of the Jonathan Saunders for Topshop collection have appeared in store (and online at Topshop.com).  So far we see some denim We.Must.Have and we are also coveting the long sleeve dress as one of those amazingly versatile, throw-on-with-everything numbers we’d wear all the time.

There’s another two pieces to come, with the collection focusing on geometric shapes and an architectural feel.

We love getting a peek at what’s around the fashion corner, and when it comes to new season lookbooks, Topshop is definitely one of the favourites.  Their Spring 2010 collection has focused on the themes of Parisienne, Meadow, Downtown, and Saloon.  What we see is a 90s- influenced, floral-focused, acid wash denim-wearing, polka dotted collection, with some harem pants, lace and grungy style thrown in for good measure.

Our favourite looks include the hamster print sweater (but of course!), the Chanel-esque boucle jacket and the Ikat print longline cardigan.  We’re over winter – bring on spring!

Oh my, does Louise Goldin have a treat in store for us.  Her debut shoe collection for Topshop has got fashionistas in the UK and beyond all in a flurry – and from the evidence above, it’s not hard to see why.

These studded and spiked heels in black, baby pink and cream form part of the collection and will be available in stores and online from February 5.  We can imagine there will be a frenzy to nab a pair of these, so don’t worry, we’ll remind you again closer to the time!
